The professional standards for BC educators emphasize how important our job as educators is. As an educator, I will value the support from our communities and student families. I have numerous lesson plans that either involves going out into the community or bringing elders and knowledge keepers into the classroom. I have included three professional development workshops I’ve attended and plan on attending more as they arise for me throughout my career. I also want to get involved with my school community. I will also implement recognition of all Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Metis).
